Subject: Signal 11 on compilation of gcc

Hi,
I'm attempting to compile gcc on a Digital Unix v4.0e Box. I am using
GNU binutils and gnu make, but I still get the same error message:
collect2: ld terminated with signal 11 [Segmentation fault]
/usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/crt0.o(.pdata+0x4): relocation truncated to fit: SREL32
xdata
cccp.o: In function `xstrdup':
/source/gcc/gcc/../../gcc-2.95.2/gcc/cccp.c:10718: relocation truncated to
fit: SREL32 xdata
Does anyone know what this could be? Attempting to compile gcc 2.95.2 with
'make
bootstrap'
Cheers
