Subject: gcc - make error

I am trying to compile Gcc (2.95.2) and Binutils (2.9.1)
                  using cygwin (B20)

GCC --
  1. I ran the configure file ("sh configure")
  2. I run the make ("make bootstrap") file and after
     "bootstrapping the compiler"
    I get
     MAKE[2]: *** No rule to make target 'bootstrap'
     MAKE[2]: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
    -- I tried simpler targets like "make clean" i got a similar
       error but with "mostly-clean"

BinUtils --
  1. I ran the configure file ("sh configure")
  2. I run the make
  3. I got a message that
     "MAKE[2]: *** No rule to make target 'bfd/bfd.h'
      needed by 'dis-buf.lo'. stop."

Thanks
