Subject: make bootstrap fails with current egcs snapshot on IRIX6.4
Date: Fri, 18 Feb 2000 09:44:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <38ADF5C3.D30F723B@dde.dk> (raw)

Hi all,
Building of the latest egcs snapshot (egcs-20000207), fails with the
following error on IRIX6.4

cc -DIN_GCC -g -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -o xgcc gcc.o gccspec.o intl.o \
  prefix.o version.o obstack.o ../libiberty/libiberty.a
echo "int xxy_us_dummy;" >tmp-dum.c
./xgcc -B/opt/devtools/mips-sgi-irix6.4/bin/ -B./
-I/opt/devtools/mips-sgi-irix6.4/include -S tmp-dum.c
<command line>: internal error: POP of file buffer in
get_directive_token
gmake[2]: *** [s-under] Error 1
gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/volume2/knk/src/egcs/build-20000207/gcc'
gmake[1]: *** [bootstrap-lean] Error 2
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/volume2/knk/src/egcs/build-20000207/gcc'
gmake: *** [bootstrap-lean] Error 2

I am using the latest binutils snapshot.

I have configured egcs as

origin:345 [src/egcs/build-20000207] ../egcs-20000207/configure
--prefix=/opt/devtools --with-gnu-ld --enable-shared

I have the /opt/devtools/bin path first in my path. (The gnu linker is
loated there !)

Any body experiencing the same thing ?? Any pointers

Thaks in advance.
