Hi
Every time i try and compile source code using ./configure. when it gets to
checking gcc i get an error saying :
:installation or configuration problem : C compiler cannot create executables
i have version 3.2 and am running slackware 8.1
Any idea's how to solve this ?

Hi Jay,
Try to look in the config.log file to see, what
the real problem is. The error message from configure
is rarely right about the compiler being defective.
It is quite often really a configuration matter,
maybe some dynamic libraries or such could not
be found.
