hi I apologise for posting such a fundamental question but since i am new to
unix and have very little experience with installations I am compelled to
ask this silly question.
The documentations says that in order for configure script to run correctly
there must be a cc or gcc in the path where can i get these from .I am
working on solaris 7 and i think the company did not buy the ansi c compiler
package for it.

Any help is most appreciated

Regards
Medhavi

Download a pre-compiled GCC for your platform. Look at gcc.gnu.org
for some links.
