Hi,
I would like to build a cross compiler for a target m68k-wrs-vxworks on a
alpha host station running OSF 4.0d, but I did'nt succeed.
I compiled and installed the binutils 2.9 without problems, but when I
wanted to build gcc, I got the following error :
/home/douet/m68k/m68k-wrs-vxworks/bin/as -mc68020 -o libgcc1.o
/home/douet/tmp/cclirSyT.s
xgcc: Internal compiler error: program as got fatal signal 11
gmake[1]: *** [libgcc1-asm.a] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp_mnt/home/douet/m68k/gcc-2.95/gcc'
Do you have an idea, what's wrong?

This usually means the problem is the in assembler, not the compiler.
So you'd better contact the maintainers of the assembler; the compiler
people can't help.
