I am unable to reproduce this with the current compiler from cvs.
Presumably this was a generic ia32 backend bug which has since
been fixed.

 FWIW, I can reproduce this in the current cvs gcc, but not in 2.95.2.

 I assume this was the bug with wrong sign extension code on the x86
 for some boolean operations?
 Why don't you add this test (or an equivalent test) to the regression
 test suite?
