 It is my understanding that -mcpu=ultrasparc doesn't work on 3.0.
 
 Is that still the case for 3.0.1?  If so, perhaps this option should be
 disabled on the branch.

 Actually, I'd looked into fixing it for 3.0, but couldn't find
 whatever test case is needed to make it fail.  I'm tempted to
 declare it working and then fix failures as they appear.
