Synopsis: stream input operator>> fails in g++ 3.0

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: ljrittle
State-Changed-When: Fri Jul 20 14:30:10 2001
State-Changed-Why:
    I have reclassified this PR as target since I don't
    see it on i386-unknown-freebsd4.3 or sparc-sun-solaris2.7 .
    I have also closed it since I believe that I give a solution
    in the fix section (please reopen a report if after following
    those directions, you don't see the problem go away in
    your environment).

Responsible-Changed-From-To: ljrittle->unassigned
Responsible-Changed-By: ljrittle
Responsible-Changed-When: Mon Jul 30 14:27:23 2001
Responsible-Changed-Why:
    Can not reproduce PR in my solaris2.7 environment. The
    preprocessed code looks as expected verses what I obtain
    under gcc 3.0 on solaris2.7. I have to compile the 2.6
    preprocessed code with -static -frepo or else I see
    undefined symbols and/or a core dump (but that is
    for reasons unrelated to the problem encountered
    by the PR submitter).
