I built gcc 3.0.1 and binutils 2.11.2 up from sources and the internal
 compiler error
is gone now. There seems to be a problem with the linker now though.
Qt and Mozilla (which previously built ok) stop compiling with ld
 complaining
 about undefined references.
I've subscribed to the Debian Alpha mailing list and will try to resolve
 the problem
 with the Debian people.

 Thanks for your help,
 Tim

>Description:
Trying to build KDE 2.1 up from sources, getting a
internal compiler error.
I had the same problem with QT 2.3.0. Fixed QT by changing
all instances of -O2 to -O0. This didn't work with KDE.
I'll attach the compiler commandline, output, and .ii file.
I'm having trouble with attaching the files with gnatsweb,
if the attachments don't get through, e-mail me and I'll
mail the compiler stuff to you.
