 Hi,

 I was able to generate a smaller testcase that exhibits the problem
 using gcc version 3.0.2 20010917 (prerelease) on mips-sgi-irix6.5
 (with gcc 3.0 on i686-pc-linux-gnu there are no problems, however):

 template < template <typename T> class A >
 class B : virtual A<void>
 {
     typedef int INT;
     INT i;
 };

 Just compile with "g++ -c" to see the compiler crash. :-(

 Greetings,
 Volker Reichelt

 I have tried the latest releases of GCC (until 20011007) but I have found the
 same behavior. I suppose that the patch has been integrated in CVS, if this
 is not true, then I shall continue testing new GCC releases.

 Greets.
 Rafael.

 I have seen this message before, but I don't know what this means. I have
 searched the error message in Internet but I haven't found anything about.
