 On my i686 system this "bug" exists, too!
 I use:
 automake (GNU automake) 1.5
 autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.52d
 ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.2 (1.922.2.53 2001/09/11 03:18:52)
 
 This bug is still in the CVS tree.
 As I remember this bug occured when upgrading to a newer version of one
 of the programs above!
 Removing  && AC_DEFINE(_POSIX_SOURCE) in line 122 solves (?) this
 problem!
 
 The error output was:
