Linux 2.4.4-4GB i686. Intel CPU. Suse version 7.2 distribution.

When the I try to write to a fstream it crashes with a SEGMENTATION violation error when the -malign-double flag is used. Runs fine without. The compiler flags.
g++ -Wno-non-template-friend -W -ansi -mpentiumpro -malign-double -mpreferred-stack-boundary=8 -g -save-temps
