The following reply was made to PR libstdc++/4125; it has been noted by GNATS.

Hi, thanks for comming back to the old message. I am using redhat-7.2 now and
it contains the new compiler and libs by default, thus I haven't tried it
ever again. The hack which I've posted solved the problem then and there was
no need for any further work.

Sorry that I cannot come up with further details.

 Thanks,
 Peter

State-Changed-By: ljrittle
State-Changed-When: Wed Jan 2 20:47:01 2002
State-Changed-Why:
This is fixed in 3.0.3 (at least *-*-freebsd* was broken
in a similar manner when in-source configuration was
    done).

Note that the installation instructions specifically point
out that that configuring in the source directory (using
"./configure") is fragile and not recommended.

Anyhow, major changes in the header installation procedure
have taken place since 3.0.1. Does this still happen
    for you?
