doen't seem to have been applied completely. tempbuf.h has

using __gnu_cxx::get_temporary_buffer;
using __gnu_cxx::return_temporary_buffer;

but these are missing in ext/memory, where, according to the
above mentioned patch, they should be.

    In fact that specific patch of mine was partially *wrong*,
    in that get_temporary_buffer and return_temporary_buffer are
    *standard* and belongs to <memory>. Recently, Phil Edwards
    corrected my error:
