 I pulled the 3.1-branch out and built it.
 This part seems to work now.

    I cannot reproduce this with gcc-3.1 sources.
    Configuring with --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs on x86/linux gives me:

    /mnt/hd/ahimsa/H-x86-gcc/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/include

The libstdc++ header files get installed under

  $prefix/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.7/include

instead of

  $prefix/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.7/3.0.4/include

if --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs is used

>How-To-Repeat:
The following script was used to configure:

#!/bin/sh

	CFLAGS=-O2 \
	CXXFLAGS=-O2 \
./configure \
	--prefix=/var/tmp/gca-gnu \
	--enable-shared \
	--enable-version-specific-runtime-libs \
	--disable-nls \
	--disable-libjava \
	--disable-libobjc \
	--enable-languages=c++,f77

After compile and install I find that
