Hmm, indeed I checked it again.
On Linux (tested on 2.2.18pre21 and 2.4.18) the bug cannot be reproduced.
On Solaris 2.7 bug is there.
I've also tested gcc 2.95.3 - it leaks on all platforms.

Correction: on x86-linux2.4.16 confirmed with gcc3.0.4, *not* reproduced
with gcc3.1.
