This is a Slackware 8 based system (Linux) 2.2.19 the main compiler is gcc 2.95.3
Cross compiler built from binutils 2.11.2, gcc-core-3.1 (and newlib 1.9.0) using
these instructions:
PATH=/gcc31/bin:$PATH ; export PATH
/gcc31/binutils-2.11.2/configure --target=arm-thumb-elf --prefix=/gcc31
make all install
cd /gcc31/gcc-3.1/gcc/config/arm/
Add
#define HAS_INIT_SECTION
to beginning of elf.h file
cd /gcc31/build
mkdir gcc
cd gcc
/gcc31/gcc-3.1/configure --target=arm-thumb-elf --prefix=/gcc31 --without-libs
