    You shouldn't need to set any of these environment variables.

    Doing what?  You'll need to give a testcase before anybody can really look at this.

 Just as I wrote in "How-To-Repeat" : 
  Compile a program with #include <iostream> (On Solaris ?)
 For example:
 #include <iostream>
 int main(){}
  and compile it with "g++ -Wall".
