Seem to have an undefined reference:
gcc -g -O2 -o mk-dirs_h mk-dirs_h.o -L/usr/local/bin -R/usr/local/bin
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file

I did do a search of the bug database before submitting this.

If you write in C++, you need to either use 'g++' to link, not 'gcc',
or explicitly list the C++ runtime libraries.
