 http://gcc.gnu.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl?cmd=view%20audit-trail&database=gcc&pr=9051

When compiling with only -Os I get:

 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at Test.foo(java.lang.String) (Unknown Source)
    at Test.main(java.lang.String[]) (Unknown Source)

But adding -g (or just removing -Os) I get:

 lkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf

 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf

 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf
 lkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdflkasjdfasdf

Seems that -Os is broken (both in gcc 3.2 and on the 3.3 branch.
But specifying -g to add ebug symbols seems like a workaround

 Cheers,

 Mark
