    I just bootstrapped the 3.2 branch on a Solaris 8 box without
    a hitch. Could you specify your configure options and the
    command line used to bootstrap the compiler?

   GCC 3.4xxx out of CVS still has this dependency, but as I now have
 libiconv installed, it otherwise builds fine. I haven't tried gcc 3.2.2.
