GCC 3.3 had parse errors because of the use of __thread as function dummy
arguments in the pthread interface, so I replaced those with __thread_.
Now
it compiles with GCC 3.3 20030323 -O2.

I said "compiles with 3.3 -O2" but forgot to mention it ICEs with "-O2
-fnon-call-exceptions"

Old Synopsis: g++ crashes on modified libgcj interpreter
New Synopsis: [3.2/... regression] ICE in fixup_abnormal_edges
State-Changed-From-To: open->analyzed
State-Changed-By: bangerth
State-Changed-When: Fri Mar 14 21:56:06 2003
State-Changed-Why:
Confirmed. I get the following ICE with 3.2.2 which I
did not get with 3.0 (so it's a regression):
g/x> /home/bangerth/bin/gcc-3.2.2-pre/bin/gcc -O2 -fnon-call-exceptions -c x.cc
x.cc: In member function `void _Jv_InterpMethod::run(void*, ffi_raw*)':
x.cc:10368: Internal compiler error in fixup_abnormal_edges, at reload1.c:9494
The code doesn't compile with 3.3 as is, so someone needs
to try to reduce it a little, in order to check whether
this also fails with 3.3 and/or 3.4. Unfortunately, I don't have
the time to do that right now :-(
W.
