 Can you please let me know how to get 3.2.3pre ?
 I've tried to use a snapshot of 3.3 but ran into other problems I don't

This reproducible problem demonstrates that, in some cases, gcc3.2.2 fails to delete local objects. When such objects have semantics of "smart pointers", this can lead to surprises relative to the lifetime of the objects referenced by the smart pointers.
>How-To-Repeat:
Untar the file, there is a script there called: 'doit.sh'.
You may need to update the paths to the compiler.
Running the script will compile the test program and run it.
If successful, the database should be empty (size == 0) at the end.
>Fix:
There are two ways to fix this problem:
1) add explicit cleanup code. The difficulty with this is to make sure that the cleanup code is strongly exception safe. This is doable in most cases but at the minimum, it is tedious.

2) use gcc 3.3 20030412 (prerelease)
