That test case indeed fails with my current 3.3.
I'll update again and retry. Too bad I wasted a whole evening
condensing that test case while it was already fixed :/.
But I'm happy it is fixed already anyway.
Thanks!

Yup, it is fixed. You can close it.
Thanks again,

What can I say -- I reduced and filed 10471, only to find out shortly
after that almost exactly the same bug had already been filed a couple of
hours earlier. The bug only existed about a day, and we now have 3 reports
about it...
Can you ping me when you find that it is indeed fixed for your code? I'll
close the report then, if you want.

Synopsis: Regression (ICE) in 3.3 branch due to recent patch.
State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback
State-Changed-By: bangerth
State-Changed-When: Fri Apr 25 00:20:01 2003
State-Changed-Why:
This is isomorph (there is a continuous deformation) from your
testcase to this one
---------------------------
template<typename T>
struct B
{
B() { }
};
template<typename T>
struct A
{
A(B<int> & = B<int>());
};
A<int> x;
------------------------
which I think is the same as 10471. Mark fixed that sometime
this night, and I don't see it in a 3.3 checked out
this morning Texas time. I see it in 3.4 from yesterday.
From when is your version? I bet you should just update
and try again :-) Would you mind?

After updating my CVS source tree at 20030424,
while the last update was from around 20030404,
I ran into a new ICE.
This is a regression, all previous versions compile
this fine, as did version 3.3 20030404.
Full output:

Compile the following code snippet:
template<typename _Tp, typename _Alloc>
struct A
{
typedef typename _Alloc::template rebind<_Tp>::other allocator_type;
A(allocator_type const& __a = allocator_type()) { }
};
template<typename T>
struct B

template <typename T1>
struct rebind
{
typedef B<T1> other;
};
~B() { }
};
A<int, B<char>::rebind<int>::other> x;
>Fix:
Among others, removing the "~B() { }" helps.
