Synopsis: GCC 3.2.2 bootstrap croaks with "virtual memory exhausted: Not enough space"

State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback
State-Changed-By: cae
State-Changed-When: Mon Apr 28 11:40:10 2003
State-Changed-Why:
    Could you send us a preprocessed version of the source file that
    causes gcc to use up all your memory? Also this is reported against the
    3.2-branch of gcc which will have no further release after 3.2. Do
    you know if this still happens with current 3.3 snapshots?

        regards   Christian

>How-To-Repeat:
Do a "configure" and a "make bootstrap".
>Fix:
Unknown -- I've tried a few things but nothing has worked. My next step is to go back a version. I did see that both 3.2.2 and 3.2.1 have built successfully on a similar platform, so it's not obvious what I'm doing wrong to make this happen.
