    Bug persists in gcc 3.3 20030512.  Cannot built libgnat
    on IRIX 6 with any release of gcc 3.x.

 I've just checked 3.3 from CVS, bootstrapping C and Ada only with GNAT
 3.13p (with the workaround described in PR ada/6669).  While the bootstrap
 worked fine, the bug still exists:

 gcc 3.1 is quite old. Would it be possible for you to check a more  
 current version of gcc (ie 3.2.3) and see if the same error occurs?
