The compiler was since 2.4.5 never operable again on a m88k-svr4 target. I
believe the version we used was modified by Motorola anyways.

 Hello,

could the submitter please report if they are still using this target,
and can verify whether this bug is a problem on current versions of gcc
(ie 3.3). Note that m88k support is considered obsolete and will be
 removed from 3.4. Thanks,

 Dara

>Description:
During bootstrap, when the first xgcc tries to compile crtstuff.c, cc1 gives up after allocating constantly 64 kb blocks of memory (seen from truss).
Preprocessing runs fine (-E), but stops after the third line in crtstuff.s at 'global __dso_handle'.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try compiling gcc-3.0.4 on m88k-motorola-sysv4 but with the following modifications (to make it get there):
- remove -Wall -Wwhatever ... options in Makefiles,
- fix call of gettimeofday() to pass only one argument,
- define SUPPORTS_ONLY_ONE in cppinit.c to be true to get it linked

Unknown.
