Great idea. Do you have ftp access? This would save a lot of congestion and
a lot of our time spent on retries from the top.

A minor point: why wrap the full source .tgz inside an RPM?

We do not currenly have ftp access to the gcc snapshots, but we're
looking into this.

This permits automatic building of gcc from source, for example on a
different architecture, using the rpm program.

CodeSourcery is now providing automatically generated GCC RPMs on our
web-site. These RPMs are built from snapshots of the official tree
taken on a nightly basis. They are intended to serve the same
function as the official GCC snapshots, but are designed to make for
easier installation by interested testers on x86 Linux systems.

All the usual caveats regarding snapshots apply: these are
unsupported, untested development snapshots. The average snapshot
is unsuitable for production environments.

The snapshot RPMS are available from:

    http://www.codesourcery.com/gcc-snapshots.html

Suggestions are welcome. We have set up a special email address
(gcc-rpms@codesourcery.com) for questions and comments regarding
these RPMs; email sent there is more likely to be answered than
email sent directly to me.
