successfully compiled egcs 1.0.1 for mips-sgi-irix6.2 using IRIX 6.2IDO 7.1

After the nightmare that it was to compile gcc 2.7.2.3 plus accessories  
under IRIX 6.2
and the different set of problems compiling gcc 2.8.0 and lib[stdc++,g++],
here's a big thanks for making egcs 1.0.1 version so trivial to build,  
test, and install!

The only failures during the test phase were the 4 known errors dealing  
with complex floats.

(One suggestion:  make the mailing list archives (especially egcs-bugs)  
searchable by keyword.
 This makes it even easier for us to help ourselves!)
