Hello,
I installed egcs-1.0.2 successfully on hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20, combined with
binutils-2.8.1. Configuration used was
/home/szahn/egcs-1.0.2/configure --prefix=/usr/gnu --enable-haifa --with-gnu-as --with-local-prefix=/usr/gnu

As per installation request, here's a notification that I have
successfully installed egcs-19980803 on i586-pc-linux-gnu.
I didn't run the tests but it works successfully with Blitz++.
(Except that it takes 45+ Mb to compile anything with Blitz, so it's
really no use to me :) )

I just downloaded, built and installed egcs-1.0.2 on a dual-processor
i585 running Red Hat Linux 5.0 with a 2.0.33 SMP kernel. Everything
went swimmingly and there are zero problems. config.guess produces
i586-pc-linux-gnu, which is correct.
