Hello -
It is nice to be able to download just the parts of egcs that
one needs but ..
I just downloaded egcs-g++-1.0.2.tar.gz but it includes no
configure system. What is the best way to proceed here?

You must download the core compiler.

You must download the `core' package first, and then you can add whatever
optional packages such as `g++' that you want on top of that.
