here is the output about my install of GCC-3.0.4 in my netbsd system.

$ ./config.guess 
i386-unknown-netbsdelf1.5ZA

$ /usr/local/bin/gcc -v

Configured with: ./configure

Thanks!  I've added this to the GCC 3.0 build status page at
http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.0/buildstat.html.

In the future, please keep in mind that building in the source directory
is not supported.  Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't.

Really?  I'm aware that we have been recommending against it, and I'm
also aware that this is broken for libgcj, but I believe this has not
been a general decision (and is therefore to be considered a bug).

Sorry, my mistake.  I've seen this discussed several times and thought
that the patch in http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2002-04/msg00102.html
had been approved.  We still "highly recommend" that the build directory
is not the same as the source directory rather than saying that they
"must" be different.
