Hello GCC Team,
I'm trying to upgrade to version 3.2 from 2.95-3. So how do I
remove 2.95-3 if it's not
recommended to overwrite the previous version via 'make install'? I
haven't installed it yet, because when I do a 'make' after doing
'./configure' I receive a 'libiberty' error. I don't want to take up
more space than what is necessary. So what do I do? I appreciate what
you guys do.
Keep Up The Good Work,
Aaron

Try "make bootstrap". I wouldn't recommend "upgrading" over your system
compiler. The default installation director{y,ies} for ./configure are
/usr/local, so, on an otherwise stock (vis-a-vis GCC), that should do.
You can use --prefix=/your/own/dir/here if you don't want the default.
