Have you had a chance to work on a patch for the V3 inserter bug?
You've placed a hold on the GCC 3.0.3 release on account of this bug,
and Benjamin says he will not be able to work on it before December
15th. Will you have a chance to fix this in the next day or so?
If not, we'll have to slip the release; I'd like to have roughly
a week of testing from the prerelease tarballs.

I will look today. We have contradictory reports as to whether the
currently available patch is buggy or not; if it turns out that it is
not buggy, then the thing to do would be to just move the trunk patch to
the branch, and also speed it up some by replacing the call to log(10.0)
with the corresponding constant.
In any case, I'll get you something today.
