Hello,

In our company we deal with the following situation:
- large projects
- multiple libraries
- heavy STL-usage within the libraries
In this situation we made the experience that the repo-patch from Cygnus
is a good approach to manage projects being built within one directory
(without library usage). But in our case the source and object files
reside within a large development tree. There we prepared a patch to
match our needs.

This patch can be found at (together with an installation instruction):

http://www.gamic.com/repo/repo.html

The patch is neither well-tested nor being approved to run on each
platform. Nevertheless we would be very interested in any comment on
this patch or in any different approach to manage the above mentioned
scenario.

Regards
  Andre Florath
