Just tried it:
>./gdbserver :9999 foobar
Cannot exec foobar: No such file or directory.
Process foobar created; pid = 32727
Child exited with retcode = 7f
No program to debug. GDBserver exiting.
The fact that we only know the create failed until we wait is another different
FIXME (Process foobar created above).
Closing as fixed, then.
