             Bug #: 15046
Summary: GDBserver: get the real offset of the .text section
relative to the image base, instead of assuming
                    0x1000.
           Product: gdb
           Version: HEAD
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: server
        AssignedTo: unassigned@sourceware.org
        ReportedBy: palves@redhat.com
    Classification: Unclassified
            Target: *-*-mingw*

GDBserver needs the same treatment GDB got in this patch:

http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2012-10/msg00216.html

(the version that went in was v5, but the description in only present on v1)

IOW, GDBserver needs to be taught to fetch the real offset of the .text section
relative to the image base, instead of assuming 0x1000. See here for further
directions:

http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2012-12/msg00439.html
