Can you share firmware.elf?
This seems to be a bug reading the macro debuginfo from that file,
so not really related to qemu at all.
Maybe there is something weird about that file.

You can see the weirdness with "readelf --debug-dump=macro".
I'll attach my patch here.

the patch

Note this can't go in until I write a test case,
which is a bit of a pain because we can't yet write
custom debug_macro data from the test suite.
