Consider this session:
$ gdb -q
(gdb) set $var1 = 123
(gdb) print $var1
$1 = 123
(gdb) set language ada
(gdb) set $var2 = 234
warning: Expression is not an assignment (and might have no effect)
(gdb) print $var2
$2 = void
(gdb) print $var1
$3 = 123
(gdb)
We are unable to set convenience variables if the currentl language is Ada.
Changing the language back to C allows us to once again set convenience
variables.

In Ada, the syntax is var := val.
