            Bug ID: 28693
Summary: Less keystrokes for often-used commands
           Product: gdb
           Version: 11.2
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: gdb
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: koen at kdvelectronics dot eu
  Target Milestone: ---

I'd like to ask a feature request. Two small things that would make life easier
for those who use gdb with embedded systems.

- autocompletion for 'target extended-remote' if the third argument begins with
a slash. E.g. provide tab autocompletion for 'tar ext
/dev/myverylongdevicename', but not for 'tar ext :3000'

- a .gdbinit setting to automatically run 'compare-sections' after 'load', to
quickly find problems when flashing firmware.

Thank you for gdb. Wishing you a Happy Christmas.
