Hello, GDB isn't working on fresh install. Directions would be appreciated :)

Linux version 6.2.0-asahi-11-1-edge-ARCH (linux-asahi@archlinux) (gcc (GCC)
12.1.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.

Without more information it is hard to know what's wrong.

Can you post the output of gdb --config?

Also can you rebuild gdb with debug info so that the stack
trace shows the function names?

Thank you for responding. After building 14.0.50.20230525-git from source I'm
no longer receiving errors. I didn't build the 13.1 version myself so maybe it
was a distribution problem rather than a GDB issue? And since the upstream is
working i assume there is no point in figuring out the 13.1 problems?

There will be a 13.2 release but unless the fix is identified relatively
quickly, and is small, we probably would miss the window.
I think I'll just close this.

FWIW it probably is a gdb bug and not a distro bug, but it's hard to
know for certain without digging.
