Marking this as "not a bug"... it's really more of a compiler
and/or debug info issue. Debugging optimized code is always a
bit weird. If the post-VTA "statement frontier" thing is
ever done, then that would go a ways to cleaning this up.
But, in the meanwhile, this isn't something that I think gdb
can try to or ought to address.
