As you say, if I use https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gdb it does work!
W3C have an online link checker, https://validator.w3.org/checklink it also finds the error
error Line: 118 http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gdb/
Status: 500 Can't connect to mail.gnu.org:80 (Connection refused)
This is a server side problem. Check the URI.
