Hi Guys,
Now that the 2.14 binutils release is out we are ready to drop the
requirement that all binutils code should be in the K&R dialect of
C. So from now on, patches that conform to ISO C89 will be
accepted for the mainline sources. The current branches will remain
K&R.
Patches that upgrade the current K&R sources to ISO C89 will also be
considered, and accepted if they conform to the normal patch
submission requirements. (ie that they work, they do not introduce
non-FSF copyrighted or patented code).
