Both mainline and 6.0 branch (current CVS) fail with:

/cvs/src-gdb-6.0/src/gdb/i386-tdep.c: In function `i386_frame_cache':
/cvs/src-gdb-6.0/src/gdb/i386-tdep.c:743: error: structure has no member named `realnum'
make[1]: *** [i386-tdep.o] Error 1

Looking at CVS I see that this patch from Andrew:
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/gdb-cvs/2003-07/msg00004.html

has changed i386-tdep.c and introduced realnum.

Andrew, since your ChangeLog (neither the committed one nor the cvs
commit message) mentions i386-tdep.c, it looks like some accidental
checkin. Can you look into this, please?

Cheers,
Andreas
