            Bug ID: 16584
           Summary: Wiki edit attributions missing
           Product: glibc
           Version: 2.19
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: admin
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: jsm28 at gcc dot gnu.org
CC: carlos at redhat dot com, roland at gnu dot org

The recent removal of glibc wiki accounts for people without edit access broke
the attribution of various past non-spam edits. This attributtion should be
restored for all such edits to being the username by which the person chose to
be attributed (probably by restoring the accounts that made those edits and
protecting them from future purges).

https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-02/msg00190.html has a list of such
edits for HomePage only.

https://web.archive.org/web/20111224071356/http://sourceware.org/glibc/wiki/HomePage?action=info

shows clearly that such edits did have attribution to a username, rather than
having been attributed only to a hostname all along.

--- Comment #1 from Joseph Myers <jsm28 at gcc dot gnu.org> ---
If the attributions are restored for users who edited HomePage, I'm willing to
go through the history of other pages after that and identify non-spam edits by
users who didn't edit HomePage and also need their attributions restored.

Please restore the following files, corresponding to users who edited pages
[a-l]* with non-spam edits.

1215644258.63.211 1219991383.33.19213 1221317042.47.10222 1222371262.58.10090

1239454980.21.49537 1341856579.82.20011

The users are the following (it may make sense to add them to EditorGroup to
avoid future purges):

PeteEberlein
AgnerFog
FabriceBauzac
pooryorick
BrettNeumeier
TomKraljevic
MarkSeaborn
BrunoHaible
AmittaiAviram
FlorianWeimer
AndreasSchwab

Sean Curry
BennoSchulenberg
KeesCook
TomdeVries
JanKratochvil

Carlos Seo
MarekPolacek
JoernHeissler
KřištofŽelechovjski

Having that first batch restored will make it quicker to check edits to
alphabetically later pages for any more users needing restoring.

I've added these to EditorGroup and vouched for all those I knew. You'll see
the unvouched for accounts are on a distinct list.

Added to EditorGroup.

Frank has moved all of these users back.
