Does it happen with 2.36 or master? Do you have a testcase to reproduce it,
even in a non-deterministic manner? It is really hard to debug such issues,
specially with backtraces from quite old version (fork has been refactored with
multiple fixes, and lowlevellock.S has been removed).

I am with ubuntu 18.04. You would have to install glibc from sources.
I don't know if there is some dependency that wouldn't allow me to install it.

In any case, I test on ubuntu 22.04 and the version that comes with that distro
that if I remember correctly is 2.35.

If the problem occurs, I try to put together a minimal example to reproduce it.

I am not sure if the default ubuntu 18.04 toolchain can build glibc master, but
I would expect so. You can try to build it, it is a matter of ./configure
--prefix=/usr, and run the binary with './testrun.sh' script from build folder,
or by directly invoking the loader ('./elf/ld.so --preload=jemalloc
--library-path .:math binary).

Thanks, it would be helpful.

With Ubuntu 22.04 and glibc 2.35 the problem is not happening.

You can close the issue, thanks.
