I've made an update for this and will update the pre-release v3.0.15 on my web
site soon (I'll notify you again)
The main menu items will be of the form: "dbalias - hostname".
For example: gnats - sourceware.cygnus.com
I didn't like the use of "@" as you suggested, since it looks like an email address
but it is not.
The coresponding "UserServerDir" is ~/.tkgnats/<email-addr>.<hostname>
where the email-addr part is up to the "@". For example,
~/.tkgnats/gnats-gnats.sourceware.cygnus.com.
This is the format suggested in the TkGnats README.config file.
I hope this is OK with you?
...RickM...

It would be nice if tkgnats could be told just the server
address and port and automatically fill in the database
buttons from a DBLA request. It could list these as
<database>@<hostname> on the buttons and create
~/.tkgnats/<database>@<hostname>/ entries for them when it
needs to save things.
