Hi, I try to gunzip the GSL Reference Manual (gzipped postscript) with WinZip,
but it cannot open it. It said that the file is not in a good zipped format. The
size of the file was 3 Meg instead of 700K.

Can you send me the manual by email?

Looks like the file has come through uncompressed (3meg is the correct
uncompressed size) but still with the .gz extension. Different
browsers handle compressed files differently.  If you manually rename
it from '.ps.gz' to '.ps' it should then be possible to open it with
your postscript viewer.
